Wool and Honey is inspired by Andrea Mowry’s favorite things: honeycombs and Brooklyn Tweed Loft. Knit top-down, with a flattering, cropped, boxy silhouette, it looks equally beautiful paired with your favorite jeans or thrown on over a dress!

Level: Advanced/Confident Beginner or Intermediate. Must know how to cast-on, knit, and purl.

Learn:

  • Top-down construction

  • Short row shaping

  • Elongated stitches

  • Small circumference knitting with DPNs or magic loop

Materials List:

  • 1390 - 2280 yards of fingering weight yarn purchased at Wollhaus. We used Brooklyn Loft .

  • Pattern purchased on Ravelry or Wollhaus.

  • Needles:

    • Main fabric: US size 4/3.5 mm circular needle 32” or 40” and preferred needles for small circumference knitting (Magic Loop or DPNs).

    • Ribbing: US size 3/3.5 mm circular needle (large) 32” - 40” circular and preferred needles for small circumference knitting (Magic Loop or DPNs).

    • Use the needle size you need to achieve gauge.

  • Stitch markers including locking type, tapestry needle, tape measure, row counter.

Dates: Four Saturdays 1 - 3 pm: January 18, February 1, 15, and 29
