Always wanted to learn to crochet? Need a Refresher? In this class you will learn the skills required to get you started or continue on your crochet journey. No previous experience required!
Prior Experience Required: None!
Skills Taught: Right or left handed crochet grip and tensioning (also available- “English style” right handed tensioning and grip for English knitters who struggle with left hand tensioning) slip knot, chain stitch, single crochet, half-double crochet, double crochet, and treble crochet. This class is customizable based on individual needs. You are welcome to sign up if you have not learned or have forgotten any of these base level crochet skills.
We’ll provide: Instruction, detailed handout, and patterns.
Materials List: One skein of Malabrigo Worsted yarn or Cascade Nifty Cotton purchased at Wollhaus, size H/5mm or I/5.5mm crochet hook (may bring your own), tapestry needle, scissors. Please purchase materials ahead of time. If you cannot make it to the shop earlier, please arrive 30 minutes prior to class time as the yarn will need to be wound.
