This Workshop teaches you the skills to knit Column by Hiromi Nagasawa.

We chose the gorgeous Techno yarn by Blue Sky (Alpaca, silk, merino) for our Wollhaus Sample. Loft or FAR with Tyne (Merino) by Woolfolk are other suggestions..
 

You’ll learn:  To make the Column pullover which is knitted in the round from bottom up with a relaxed fit including raglan increase and German short rows.

Level: Advanced Beginner.  Must know how to cast-on, knit, and purl, yarn-over, k2tog, and ssk.

We’ll provide:  Three 2-hour sessions.  Knitting between sessions will be required.

Materials List for bulky version:

• Techno or other bulky yarn purchased at Wollhaus

• US 10 1/2 (6.5 mm) 40“ (100 cm) circular needles for the body, 32’’ (80 cm) circular needles for the sleeves and 24’’ (60 cm) circular needles for the neck

• US 8 (5.0 mm) 32“ (80 cm) circular needles for rib

• US 7 (4.5 mm) 32“ (80 cm) circular needles for cast on

• waste yarn, stitch markers, tapestry needle, and scissors. 

Prework: Knit a gauge swatch prior to the first workshop..

Scheduled Sessions: Three Saturday afternoons, March 2nd, 16th, and 30th from 1:00 - 3:00 pm.  If the class is sold out on the website, please call the shop as there may be a spot held for in shop sign-ups.
