Learn to crochet a beautiful cotton granny square bag! Learn how to make different styles as well. Pattern is the Granny Square Tote Bag by HoplesslyDevotedCrochet.com.

Prior Experience Required: Slip knot, chain stitch, single crochet, double crochet, and slip stitch. (If you are rusty on one or more of these basic skills, please book a class with Janna prior to the first session. They will not be taught as a part of the workshop.)

You’ll learn: How to make granny squares, how to join the squares into a shape of the bag you’d like, how to make handles.

We’ll provide: Hands-on instruction over 5 sessions, in a small class setting of 4 students.

Materials List:

• Granny square bag pattern by Hopelessly Devoted Crochet is available through their blog. https://hopelesslydevotedcrochet.com/granny-square-tote-bag/

• DK weight cotton yarn purchased at Wollhaus. Our store sample was crocheted in 5 colors of Cascade Noble Cotton, but you can use as few as 3-4 skeins of one color, or as many colors as you like!

• Hook size: 3.5mm (US E/4), or size that meets preferred gauge.

• Small tapestry needle, scissors, opening stitch markers.

• *Please note that bag lining will be up to the individual after all crocheting is completed.

Five Session Class: Tuesday 10/01, 10/08, 10/15, 10/22, and 10/29. (Please do not register for this class if you cannot attend all 5 classes.)
